Job Description
Christian Living Communities | Cappella Living Solutions is a reputable eldercare and assisted living provider committed to fostering a warm and welcoming environment for all residents, team members, family members, and community members. With a focus on delivering compassionate care and promoting a sense of belonging, this organization cultivates respectful and supportive living spaces for elders and individuals requiring various levels of care. The community thrives on values that prioritize dignity, safety, and personalized attention to each resident's needs, making it a trusted name in senior living solutions.
The position offered is for an Environmental Services Representative, a vital role responsible for both housekeeping and laundry functions within the community. This dual-role position demands the individual to be competent and willing to perform tasks in both areas as assigned, ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall comfort of resident apartments and common areas. The Environmental Services Representative performs detailed cleaning of residents' rooms, prepares empty rooms for new move-ins, and manages the laundering of linens, drapes, and resident personal clothing. This role requires a dedicated team member who maintains the highest standards of hygiene and service, contributing directly to the wellness and satisfaction of all residents.
The representative's housekeeping duties include dusting and polishing furniture, washing and disinfecting countertops and sinks, mopping and disinfecting bathrooms and floors, vacuuming carpeted areas, and restocking necessary supplies such as paper products and soap dispensers. Common areas, nursing stations, hallways, medication rooms, and utility rooms must be kept immaculate, reflecting the organization's commitment to a safe, clean living environment. The laundry responsibilities involve consistent use of washing and drying machines, sorting, washing, drying, and folding resident personal clothing along with linens, rags, and mop heads, and delivering cleaned items back to the appropriate residents.
This position demands a moderate to heavy physical effort with frequent standing, walking, stooping, and reaching, alongside occasional kneeling and squatting. The role sometimes involves exposure to chemicals and biological hazards such as bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases, necessitating vigilance and adherence to safety protocols. Applicant candidates must be proficient in following operational checklists, possess excellent customer service skills, and be able to communicate effectively in English. This is an ongoing recruitment process and applicants are encouraged to apply promptly due to potentially high volumes of candidates and predetermined hiring salary ranges.
Christian Living Communities | Cappella Living Solutions provides its employees a supportive work environment complemented by a competitive benefits package, which may include health coverage, health savings accounts, retirement plans with employer matching, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and paid time off plans. The organization values inclusivity and accommodation needs during the interview process, ensuring equal opportunity for all applicants. This opportunity available in Wheat Ridge, CO, offers a meaningful career path for individuals seeking to contribute to eldercare and community wellbeing in a dedicated housekeeping and laundry role.
