The role in question is a Full-Time Environmental Services Worker position based at Texas Health Huguley’s facility in Burleson, Texas. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
- basic computer skills and knowledge of standard office software required
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas
- ability to follow written and oral instructions
- knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties
- ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets and product labels

- must comply with facility standards regarding waste disposal and sanitation procedures
Job Qualifications
- Basic computer skills and use of mouse and keyboard

- must be able to read and understand Safety Data Sheets product labels various reports and perform basic arithmetic
- must be able to follow oral and written assignments and have full knowledge of basic environmental duties
- environmental services experience within a healthcare environment preferred
- knowledge of additional languages preferred
- high school grad or equiv preferred
- housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
Job Duties
- Clean assigned patient and public areas daily including collecting and removing trash and sanitizing all surfaces
- stock paper items cleaning solutions and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary
- demonstrate complete knowledge of infection control isolation procedures and proper operation of cleaning equipment
- utilize Bed Management system to maintain productive flow of bed throughput using hand-held technology for tracking
- utilize equipment including cleaning trash cart and other janitorial supplies
- collect and stage soiled linen for pick up
- dispose of normal and biohazardous waste
- clean and disinfect areas containing bodily fluids in accordance with facility standards
- document all work performed
- access ancillary units restrooms offices in assigned areas
