Job Description

AdventHealth is a renowned healthcare organization dedicated to extending the healing ministry of Christ by providing exceptional patient care that nurtures the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. With a broad network of hospitals and healthcare facilities across the United States, AdventHealth stands as a community-focused and purpose-driven employer committed to creating a supportive environment for both patients and employees alike. The organization believes in the power of collaboration, inclusion, and respect, fostering a workplace where individuals are valued for their unique experiences and contributions. Employees at AdventHealth benefit not only from comprehensive professional growth opportunities but also from an enriching spiritual atmosphere that supports personal well-being and communal health. Joining AdventHealth means becoming part of a community that uplifts and transforms lives through compassionate care and innovative healthcare practices.

This full-time Day Shift position is located at the AdventHealth facility in Palm Coast, Florida, specifically at 60 Memorial Medical Parkway. The role is primarily responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety in patient and public areas, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized, trash is properly collected and disposed of, and supplies are well-stocked and ready for use. The position requires the use of various cleaning equipment and adherence to infection control protocols, including isolation procedures and correct disposal of biohazardous materials. A vital part of this role involves utilizing the Bed Management system with handheld technology to facilitate efficient patient bed turnover and flow within the hospital setting.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in environmental services practices and show a dedication to providing excellent customer service, particularly in patient interactions. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting areas contaminated with bodily fluids, staging soiled linen for pickup, and accurately documenting all tasks performed. This role not only demands technical skills in sanitation and safety but also calls for strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a healthcare environment. AdventHealth offers a competitive hourly pay range of $15.31 to $24.49, reflective of experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees from their first day of employment, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, paid time off, and various well-being resources.

AdventHealth's promise is to provide an inclusive, nurturing workplace where team members can thrive both professionally and spiritually while making a meaningful impact on the community. They emphasize career development and offer multiple resources to support employees' mental health, physical wellness, and career growth, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about health, safety, and compassionate service within a well-respected healthcare system.
