This role is a part-time position located in Orange City, Florida, at 1055 Saxon Blvd. The shift for this position is primarily during the second shift, running from 3 pm to 11:30 pm with rotating weekends. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall maintenance of patient and public areas within the facility. It involves daily cleaning duties that include trash collection and removal, surface sanitizing, stocking necessary supplies, and managing biohazardous waste according to facility standards. This position requires knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proficient operation of cleaning equipment to ensure a safe, hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The role also involves using technology, such as the Bed Management system and handheld devices, to support efficient hospital operations and bed flow. This position demands careful documentation of all work performed and the ability to access and clean various areas, including ancillary units, restrooms, and offices.

Ideal candidates should have experience or the skills necessary to maintain equipment and workspaces in a safe and clean state while demonstrating excellent customer service and the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff. Required skills include basic computer proficiency, ability to understand and follow safety protocols including reading Safety Data Sheets and product labels, strong communication in English, and the capacity to handle both normal waste and biohazardous materials appropriately. Preferred candidates might have prior experience in environmental services within a healthcare setting, multilingual capabilities, and high school education or equivalent. This position offers a pay range of $15.31 to $24.49 per hour and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws.
