The Environmental Services Aide (Housekeeping) at PIH Health plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position involves routine cleaning and sanitization activities essential to infection control and overall hospital hygiene. The Environmental Services Aide contributes to the comfort and safety of everyone at the facility by ensuring cleanliness standards meet regulatory and organizational protocols. This role demands attention to detail, responsibility, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The position is primarily a day shift role located at 12401 Washington Blvd., with a salary range between $21.00 and $28.35 per hour. Ideal candidates will demonstrate an ability to read chemical labels safely, complete daily reports, and operate cleaning equipment effectively. Additionally, basic computer skills and experience with equipment use are preferred to navigate task documentation and equipment maintenance requirements efficiently. Effective communication skills in English—both spoken and written—are essential for this role to ensure clear coordination with team members and adherence to safety guidelines. Job Requirements
- Minimum education level: 6th grade preferred
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Previous experience or training in equipment use preferred
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of hospital environments including patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and public areas
- Use and maintain cleaning equipment according to safety guidelines
- Handle and apply cleaning chemicals safely by reading and understanding labels
- Complete daily cleaning reports and document tasks accomplished
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to meet infection control protocols
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages
