Recognized nationally for high-quality care, NorthBay Health holds the Magnet with Distinction designation for nursing and multiple accolades from U.S. News and World Report. The organization is committed to being the trusted healthcare partner of choice and providing an environment where employees can grow, contribute meaningfully, and support community health. NorthBay Health offers a comprehensive benefits package with medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, professional development, and wellness programs, ensuring its workforce feels valued and supported.
The Environmental Services Aide role at NorthBay Health is fundamental to maintaining the hospital’s cleanliness, safety, and infection control standards. Reporting to Environmental Services Supervisors and the Director, this position requires completing assigned cleaning and sanitation duties aligned with municipal, county, state, and federal regulations. The EVS Aide ensures that all tasks are performed efficiently within established timelines while adhering strictly to infection prevention policies, proper handling of chemicals, and safe equipment operation. Responsibilities also include effective communication with staff, patients, and visitors, contributing to a respectful and supportive healthcare environment. The role emphasizes compliance with organizational standards including those set by The Joint Commission and the Department of Health Services.
This full-time role demands a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in industrial janitorial services, especially within healthcare settings. Skills in handling cleaning equipment, following detailed procedures, and responding to emergency protocols are essential. The EVS Aide is also expected to model NorthBay Health’s core values of Caring, Communication, Collaboration, and Competence—known as The NorthBay Way—to foster a culture of excellence and patient-centered care. The position offers generous shift differentials for evening, night, weekend, and on-call shifts. At NorthBay Health, employees are acknowledged for their commitment to quality service, accountability, and teamwork, all critical to delivering exceptional patient experiences throughout the healthcare journey. This role presents a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of the community while advancing one’s career within a respected healthcare system.
