The Environmental Services Aide role at NorthBay Health is fundamental to maintaining the hospital’s cleanliness, safety, and infection control standards. Reporting to Environmental Services Supervisors and the Director, this position requires completing assigned cleaning and sanitation duties aligned with municipal, county, state, and federal regulations. The EVS Aide ensures that all tasks are performed efficiently within established timelines while adhering strictly to infection prevention policies, proper handling of chemicals, and safe equipment operation. Responsibilities also include effective communication with staff, patients, and visitors, contributing to a respectful and supportive healthcare environment. The role emphasizes compliance with organizational standards including those set by The Joint Commission and the Department of Health Services.

This full-time role demands a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in industrial janitorial services, especially within healthcare settings. Skills in handling cleaning equipment, following detailed procedures, and responding to emergency protocols are essential.
