Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- minimum one year of experience in industrial janitorial industry preferred
- experience with cleaning procedures and janitorial equipment for patient rooms, exam rooms, restrooms, public spaces, and floors in healthcare environment strongly desired
- ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, peers, and colleagues
- able to follow complex instructions involving task lists and duties
- ability to learn and retain training related to disaster response and occurrence management
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- minimum one year of experience in industrial janitorial industry preferred
- experience with cleaning procedures and janitorial equipment in healthcare setting preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues
- capable of following complex instructions covering assigned duties
- ability to learn and retain disaster response training

Job Duties
- Completes all assigned duties, tasks, and routine daily cleaning assignments in accordance to training and standard work within set time requirements
- communicates pertinent information, problems, and unresolved issues to Lead or Supervisor including accurate documentation
- interacts respectfully and effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and leaders
- consistently demonstrates compliance with infection prevention policies including hand hygiene and use of protective apparel
- responsibly handles, labels, dilutes, stores, and disposes of chemicals as per instructions
- manages soiled and clean linen handling according to standards
- prioritizes duties and responds to changing demands effectively
- operates cleaning and UV disinfection equipment safely in accordance with training
- maintains effective communication and relationships with team members
- ensures compliance with hospital and departmental policies through active participation in training and meetings
- assists leadership in meeting standards required by regulatory bodies
- performs other duties as assigned
