Established as a multi-facility healthcare district with eight campuses, Kaweah Health functions with a strong commitment to delivering state-of-the-art medicine and high-quality preventive healthcare to a broad range of patients. With more than 5,000 employees and 613 hospital beds, Kaweah Health serves the community through an acute care hospital and various specialized health centers and clinics. As a cornerstone of healthcare in the region, the organization prioritizes patient wellbeing and embraces an integrative approach that spans a broad continuum of care. The hospital district is deeply embedded in the local community, offering accessible and compassionate healthcare services to meet the diverse medical needs of residents.

This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall environment of health care areas utilized by patients, staff, and visitors. Working on a part-time basis with variable shifts of 8 hours or less, the Environmental Services Aide carries out cleaning and disinfecting tasks according to well-established hospital policies and protocols. The position is benefits eligible, providing additional value and security for employees.

The role demands hands-on responsibility for waste management, such as removing trash, biohazard waste, and cardboard daily. Environmental Services Aides also handle floor care, including dust/mop cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet maintenance. This meticulous cleaning supports the hospital’s mission by ensuring that all areas meet the stringent cleanliness standards required for patient safety and comfort.

Additional responsibilities may vary by department and include assisting patients with toileting, recording refrigerator temperatures, preparing rooms for surgical patients, and participating in team-building exercises and workflow improvements. Kaweah Health places strong emphasis on teamwork, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement, offering employees a workplace environment that empowers them to excel and grow. The pay range for this role is reflective of the important nature of these duties, ranging from $20.00 to $30.00 hourly.
