Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in acute care setting preferred
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good and regular attendance
- Ability to perform physical duties related to cleaning and moving supplies
- Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role preferred
- Previous experience in acute care setting preferred

Job Duties
- Selects cleaning materials and prepares cleaning solutions
- Loads service cart and transports to work area
- Cleans assigned areas including walls, doors, tiles, fixtures, patient televisions, and equipment using germicidal solutions
- Sweeps, mops floors, vacuums carpets and spot cleans as needed
- Cleans restrooms, vanity areas, showers, and commodes maintaining sanitary and odor free conditions
- Replenishes essential supplies
- Collects and removes trash and sanitizes garbage cans and compactor areas
- May collect and transport hazardous waste in closed containers for sterilization
- May collect soiled linen and distribute clean linen
- Arranges furniture for meetings, workshops, and community affairs
- Returns unused supplies to janitor closet in an orderly manner
