We are currently seeking an Environmental Service Aide at our Westchester location to join our dedicated Facilities Department. This full-time, hourly position offers a competitive pay range from $23.49 to $32.46, reflecting MSK’s commitment to fair and competitive compensation matched to experience and skills. The Environmental Service Aide plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the hospital environment, which is pivotal to delivering quality patient care. Teams support the physical care environment through thorough, methodical cleaning protocols following MSK’s Environmental Services Aide Manual, which includes the Seven Step Cleaning Guidelines. This role ensures that all areas are hygienic and that medical, infectious waste, and soiled linens are handled according to strict hospital safety procedures. The position involves operational tasks such as handling cleaning chemicals safely, operating equipment like trash compactors and cardboard balers, and supporting unit operations by setting up rooms or performing small moves.

This position is designed for individuals motivated to contribute positively in a healthcare setting with no prior experience required; comprehensive training is provided. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, perform physical tasks including prolonged standing, walking, bending, pushing, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Basic computer knowledge is also necessary to support communication and training initiatives.
