Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
entry level position
basic English literacy
ability to follow oral instructions
physical ability to stand and walk most of the day
ability to climb stairs, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, push, pull, and handle cleaning equipment and supplies
ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds

ability to assess patient area needs

Job Duties

Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following correct procedures
follows all safety procedures as pertains to all federal and local safety standards and according to hospital and department procedures
contributes to the efficient communication and cooperation inside and outside the department
uses all cleaning supplies according to established procedures
demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care environment
assesses patient area needs relative to age-specific requirements
maintains aseptic conditions in all cleaning tasks
