Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- entry level position
- basic English literacy
- ability to follow oral instructions
- physical ability to stand and walk most of the day
- ability to climb stairs, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, push, pull, and handle cleaning equipment and supplies
- ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds

- able to read, write, and speak English
- able to follow oral instructions
- knowledge of principles of growth and development
- ability to assess patient area needs

Job Duties
- Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following correct procedures
- follows all safety procedures as pertains to all federal and local safety standards and according to hospital and department procedures
- contributes to the efficient communication and cooperation inside and outside the department
- uses all cleaning supplies according to established procedures
- demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care environment
- assesses patient area needs relative to age-specific requirements
- maintains aseptic conditions in all cleaning tasks
