The Environmental Services department at Cook Children's Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services (EVS) Aide to join their team during the second shift. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and sanitation required in a children’s healthcare setting, thereby ensuring safety and comfort for patients, families, and staff. The EVS Aide is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various areas within the facility, working collaboratively with management and fellow team members. This dynamic position requires a positive, energetic individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently and adapt to changing priorities. Flexibility and a team-oriented mindset are key attributes for success in this role. The EVS Aide will oversee assigned areas, taking responsibility for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitized environment throughout the medical center.
This full-time position involves working 40 hours per week, specifically Monday to Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with rotating weekends. Prior knowledge of housekeeping is preferred, along with a high school diploma or equivalent. The ideal candidate should possess at least one year of customer service experience, highlighting the importance of interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, and hospital staff.
