The Environmental Project Manager role at Onterris is a pivotal position based in a Southeastern U.S. remote location. The role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and geographic factors. This role is designed for individuals passionate about environmental stewardship and eager to contribute to meaningful projects that ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices across multiple sectors.

As an Environmental Project Manager, you will take full ownership of various environmental compliance projects such as Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans; Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans; Hazardous Waste Stream Determinations; Solid Waste and Hazardous Waste Management Plans; and Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act Reports. This role demands a leader who can effectively manage project risks, oversee internal team performance, and ensure client satisfaction while meeting profitability goals.

Your responsibilities will encompass estimating personnel needs, assigning work tasks, meeting project deadlines, and ensuring adherence to company standards. You will coordinate the daily operations of technical staff, providing necessary guidance and monitoring progress to maintain accuracy and quality. Fieldwork responsibilities include data collection at client sites and conducting meetings and training sessions, which demand strong communication and organizational skills.

In this position, you will oversee technical writing, data interpretation, and the development of professional graphical presentations. Management of administrative and financial aspects such as proposals, project setups, forecasting, invoicing, and subcontractor oversight are key components of your role. You will act as a client liaison, interpreting customer needs and coordinating work assignments and proposals accordingly.

The job also requires anticipating and communicating potential issues that may affect scheduling and budgets to leadership. Additionally, you will manage project authorization documents and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
