Job Requirements
- ability to read, write and speak English
- completion of work-related on-the-job vocational training preferred
- six months institutional housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to fill liquid soap, toilet paper towel dispenser and other dispensers required
- ability to operate cleaning equipment required

Job Duties
- carry out general housekeeping activities to keep facilities clean and orderly
- perform all work in accordance with Joint Commission and Texas Department of Health guidelines
- promptly and efficiently perform assigned duties and accept emergency reassignments
- report all maintenance defects to Plant Engineering Department
- use equipment and supplies as directed and follow instructions on Material Safety Data Sheets
- identify and report all chemical/solution spills and discarded needles/syringes
- assist the Team Leader in clean up and disposals as required
- comply with University Health and departmental policies and regulations
- maintain good interpersonal and guest relation skills
