As a full-service hospital with 443 beds, it caters to the diverse needs of patients from Richardson, Garland, Plano, and neighboring areas within Dallas and Collin counties. The hospital is distinguished as a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, a testament to its specialized capabilities in managing complex stroke cases with advanced medical care protocols. Additionally, it holds a national distinction as the first hospital to earn The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Pancreatic, Hepatic, and Biliary Cancer Certification, positioning it at the forefront of cancer treatment and care. Beyond acute care, Methodist Richardson Medical Center extends its services through the Campus for Continuing Care, which includes dedicated units for behavioral health and addiction recovery, inpatient rehabilitation, and long-term acute care, demonstrating an inclusive approach to patient health and recovery.
Committed to fostering a diverse workforce, Methodist Richardson Medical Center values the unique skills and talents brought by individuals from various backgrounds, aiming to represent the communities it serves. This commitment is reflected in its status as an award-winning employer, gaining recognitions such as Magnet-designation, acknowledgment among the 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare by Becker's Hospital Review in 2023, and distinct honors as a Top 10 Military Friendly Employer with Gold Designation, as well as Top 10 Military Spouse Friendly Employer in the same year. Its clinical excellence is further exemplified by the presence of highly specialized units including a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a Level III Trauma Center.
The Environmental Aide role at Methodist Richardson Medical Center is vital to maintaining the hospital’s standards of cleanliness and infection control. Individuals in this position are responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, offices, and common areas, contributing directly to the safety and well-being of patients and staff. The role operates under a PRN (as-needed) schedule with shifts spanning three to four times per week, providing flexibility while requiring dedication and reliability.

The Environmental Aide must communicate effectively, build collaborative relationships, and uphold accountability for their work quality. Proactive engagement in continuous improvement efforts and professional growth initiatives are encouraged to enhance both the patient experience and personal development within the healthcare environment. This position not only offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care indirectly but also to become part of a winning team committed to healthcare excellence.
