The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist role at TTM is designed for individuals passionate about growing within the EHS field. Reporting to the site EHS Manager, this position plays a key role in supporting and enhancing the company’s environmental health and safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives. The Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and fostering a culture of safety across the organization. This role requires hands-on involvement in safety training, safety data analysis, incident reporting, emergency response planning, and more. The successful candidate will engage in thorough safety and environmental evaluations, develop predictive models, oversee safety drills, and support capital projects from an EHS perspective. Job Requirements

  • Must be capable of wearing a respirator and participating in emergency response up to Level B
  • Must establish solid understanding of EHS processes and applications
  • Must possess good interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Good mathematical and computer skills
  • Must be reliable and a fast learner
  • Available for calls off-shift and after hours
  • Must read and understand specifications and procedures
  • Good reading vision and able to sit for up to 10 hours daily
  • Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident due to ITAR requirements
  • Regular attendance essential
  • Industrial hygiene experience related to chemical hygiene controls
  • Ability to make well-informed decisions in routine and emergency situations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four-year degree in a related field preferred
  • 2+ years in an EHS role in manufacturing preferred
  • Emergency response experience
  • HAZWOPER certification
  • Solid understanding of EHS principles
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to multitask and lead by example
  • Industrial hygiene experience
  • Ability to make well-informed decisions in routine and emergency situations

Job Duties

  • Report all accidents, near misses and safety concerns
  • Perform job duties using required personal protective equipment
  • Participate fully in safety training and understand Job Safety Analysis, PPE Assessments, Safety Data Sheets and safety procedures
  • Analyze safety metrics to identify trends and develop improvement projects
  • Review capital projects for EHS considerations
  • Develop and analyze data to create predictive models for employee health and safety
  • Collaborate with production on design/process changes impacting EHS
  • Conduct safety drills and ensure availability of PPE
  • Develop and conduct monthly health and safety training
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and emergency response plans
  • Coordinate drills for readiness in environmental or safety incidents
  • Attend meetings, communicate with managers, suggest procedural changes
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims in compliance with Oregon regulations
  • Plan and complete improvement and cost savings projects
  • Assist in emergency operations
  • Participate in Forest Grove Emergency Response Team
