Job Description

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is one of the nation's largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services. Founded with a commitment to quality and patient-centered care, UHS operates a wide network of healthcare facilities including acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, outpatient centers, ambulatory care points, and a physician network across the United States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom. With a deep heritage in healthcare and a reputation built on excellence, the company has been recognized as one of the World's Most Admired Companies by Fortune and ranks among America's Largest Public Companies according to Forbes. UHS prides itself on fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace, ensuring equal employment opportunities for all individuals regardless of race, gender, religion, age, or any other protected characteristic. This commitment to a respectful and supportive work environment is reflective of their dedication not only to the communities they serve but also to their employees.

The EVS Housekeeper position at Magnolia, part of the Corona Regional Medical Center network, plays a crucial role in supporting patient care by maintaining a clean and safe environment. Reporting to the Director of Environmental Services, this per diem role involves cleaning both patient and non-patient care areas according to approved schedules and cleaning procedures, ensuring all spaces meet hospital hygienic standards. The housekeeper is also responsible for the transportation and proper disposal of trash, biohazardous waste, and soiled linen. Additionally, the role requires operation of equipment for hard surface and carpet floor care, including tasks such as buffing, burnishing, stripping, and waxing floors.

Corona Regional Medical Center itself is a well-established facility with deep community ties dating back to 1965, originally founded as Corona Community Hospital. Today, it functions as a 238-bed community hospital network that includes a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus, staffed by over 1,250 healthcare workers and around 347 physicians spanning more than 40 specialties. This environment provides EVS Housekeepers with the opportunity to contribute to a leading healthcare institution while receiving support through competitive wages, benefits, and career development opportunities.

The position offers a starting pay rate between $23.00 and $34.32 per hour, along with an array of part-time benefits including tuition reimbursement, career development opportunities across UHS's extensive locations, diverse educational programming, access to online learning and continuing education courses, and comprehensive health benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug plans. Employees also have access to a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, discounted stock purchase options, pet insurance, and student loan refinancing programs. These benefits underscore UHS's commitment to supporting the personal and professional growth of their staff.

Universal Health Services is vigilant in maintaining a safe and reliable recruitment process, warning applicants of potential recruitment scams and affirming that no legitimate recruiter will request sensitive financial information via email. Candidates are encouraged to verify job postings through official UHS career websites. Joining UHS means becoming part of a well-respected healthcare family that values integrity, compassion, and excellence in patient care. The EVS Housekeeper role is essential to this mission, providing a clean environment that supports health and healing within the hospital community. This role is ideal for those with previous housekeeping experience who seek a meaningful position in a reputable organization with opportunities for growth and development.
