Job Description

Corona Regional Medical Center is a well-established healthcare institution located in Corona, California. It began as Corona Community Hospital in 1965 and has grown alongside the expanding community it serves. In 1992, it merged with Circle City Medical Center, forming the current Corona Regional Medical Center. This institution is now a substantial healthcare network comprising a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus, certified by The Joint Commission. It employs over 1,250 healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties. The center is dedicated to providing comprehensive and high-quality medical services to its community, emphasizing patient care, safety, and support.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EVS Housekeeper for a full-time day shift position at Corona Regional Medical Center. This role operates under the supervision of the Director of Environmental Services and is critical in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for both patient and non-patient areas within the facility. The position is scheduled from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, providing consistent day coverage. The EVS Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning according to approved procedures and schedules, ensuring that all areas meet hygiene and regulatory standards. This position also involves the transportation and proper disposal of trash, biohazardous waste, and soiled linen, requiring adherence to safety protocols and compliance with healthcare regulations. The role also requires operating cleaning and floor care equipment, including tasks like buffing, burnishing, stripping, and waxing hard surface and carpet floors to maintain facility standards. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and environmental cleanliness.

Starting salary for this role ranges from $21.00 to $31.43 per hour, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the role within the medical center. The role offers an opportunity to be part of a respected and growing healthcare organization, contributing directly to the patient care experience through meticulous facility maintenance. This position also offers benefits such as tuition reimbursement, career development opportunities within a large health services network, access to diverse programming for skill expansion, competitive compensation, paid time off, and comprehensive healthcare plans including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage. Additional benefits include 401(k) with company match, discounted stock plans, pet insurance, and a student loan refinancing program. The employment opportunity is within Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), one of the nation’s largest healthcare providers known for its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and employee development.
