The EVS/Housekeeper position at Del Amo Behavioral Health Systems is a crucial full-time night shift role designed to support multiple operational areas including environmental services, transportation, security, and general maintenance. The individual in this role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility and surrounding grounds, ensuring the safety and security of all patients, staff, and visitors within the premises. The position requires a proactive approach to preventing fire, theft, and vandalism by conducting regular patrols and securing all access points. Additionally, this role supports the front lobby during visiting hours by assisting with contraband checks to maintain a safe environment. Job Requirements
- must be able to demonstrate special training, knowledge and skills specific to job such as van/driver's training within first three months and annually thereafter
- must complete all required mandatory inservices annually
- must be tested for tuberculosis with PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire and annually or tri-annually thereafter
- must be certified in Handle With Care training within first three months and annually thereafter if assigned to security or transportation duties
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- completion of security training program or equivalent preferred
- experience working in behavioral health preferred
- previous experience in environmental services in hospital or hotel industry preferred
- two years experience in a hospital environment preferred
- valid California Driver's License Class C
Job Duties
- maintains orderly and sanitary conditions of the facility
- cleans and services facility and ground areas
- protects life and property on facility premises
- patrols building and grounds to prevent fire, theft and vandalism
- secures, unlocks and protects building
- responds to security needs of facility personnel and guests
- assists front lobby reception during visiting hours to ensure contraband is checked
