Job Requirements

  • At least two years of previous culinary experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic sushi preparation knowledge
  • Ability to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills
  • Ability to work multiple stations
  • Desire to satisfy needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • California Food Handlers Certification required
  • Flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare sushi and related menu items following established recipes and hygiene standards
  • Assist in the preparation of soups, sauces, and stocks
  • Operate various cooking stations including frying and broiling
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work area
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Adhere to food safety regulations including California Food Handlers Certification
  • Demonstrate flexibility with work schedules including weekends and holidays
