Job Description

DigiStream Investigations is a rapidly expanding national private investigation firm that specializes in providing top-tier investigative services across the United States. With a strong reputation for thorough and precise investigations, DigiStream has established itself as a trusted partner for clients seeking evidence in various types of cases, including potentially fraudulent Worker’s Compensation and Liability claims. The company operates with a focus on professionalism, integrity, and innovation, making use of the latest investigative techniques and technology. As a growing firm, DigiStream offers promising career opportunities for individuals looking to enter the investigation, security, or law enforcement fields.

The company is currently looking to add a dedicated Private Investigator to their team in the Greater Seattle-Tacoma region. This position is not a traditional desk job; it offers a dynamic and exciting career path filled with autonomy, travel, and the chance to engage in meaningful, real-world investigative work. The ideal candidate will have an adventurous and curious personality, capable of undertaking covert surveillance and gathering crucial evidence to help their clients defend their claims effectively.

This full-time role involves working an average of 40 to 55 hours per week with days typically lasting 10 to 11 hours depending on travel distances, which are compensated as part of the paid work hours. Candidates must reside in the state of Washington and be willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, with shifts potentially starting as early as 5:00 am and sometimes lasting into the evening.

Compensation for this position starts at an hourly wage of $21.00, with employees frequently earning overtime due to the nature of the work and paid commute time. Full-time employees can expect to earn between $55,000 and $65,000 annually, with robust benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance plus a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match. The company also provides a late-model surveillance vehicle and all necessary equipment such as video cameras, laptops, tripods, and fuel and maintenance cards for the company vehicle.

Working as an investigator at DigiStream means joining a team-oriented environment with professional hands-on training developed over 25 years, quarterly team-building events, and opportunities for career advancement through a structured Investigator Promotion Track. The skills learned here open doors to elite career opportunities in law enforcement agencies such as the FBI, ATF, US Border Patrol, state crime labs, as well as roles in legal, corporate security, and investigative journalism sectors.

A typical day involves activities like monitoring and following subjects covertly, conducting vehicle and foot pursuits while maintaining cover, and filming subjects in various settings from grocery stores to sports games. Investigators develop strategic surveillance plans tailored to each case, maintain constant communication with team leaders, and compile detailed reports and video evidence for client use.

This opportunity is ideal for driven individuals who meet the criteria and are ready to embark on a career with excitement, growth potential, and a clear purpose. DigiStream encourages applications from candidates who are prepared for an active and variable work routine and value working with a team dedicated to excellence in private investigations.
