Job Description
DigiStream Investigations is a rapidly expanding national private investigation firm well-known for delivering professional and thorough investigative services. Operating extensively across the United States, DigiStream has built a strong reputation for handling complex cases, particularly focusing on potentially fraudulent Worker's Compensation and Liability claims. With a commitment to integrity, precise evidence gathering, and client satisfaction, DigiStream is an excellent choice for individuals seeking a career in the private investigations field. The company prides itself on fostering an adventurous and dedicated team that thrives in dynamic and challenging environments. DigiStream provides comprehensive training and supportive resources, helping team members to grow their skills and excel in their roles.
This role as a Private Investigator based in the Greater Seattle-Tacoma region is a uniquely exciting opportunity for candidates who want more than a traditional desk job. This full-time position requires strong autonomy, investigative curiosity, and a willingness to be on the move, as investigators often travel to various case sites and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. The position averages 40-55 hours per week, with daily shifts typically lasting 10-11 hours, including commute time which is compensated. Starting pay for entry-level investigators is $21.00 per hour, with frequent overtime opportunities increasing earning potential. The total annual compensation for a full-time investigator ranges between $55,000 to $65,000 or more, partly due to paid travel time.
Employees of DigiStream receive a generous comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match. DigiStream equips investigators with company vehicles, fuel and maintenance cards, video surveillance equipment, laptops, and more to ensure they have the tools necessary to succeed. The company also offers a professional and hands-on training program developed over 25 years of experience within the industry, designed to make new hires confident and capable quickly.
Working at DigiStream means engaging in a vibrant work environment where no two days are alike. Investigators are tasked with monitoring subjects covertly, conducting foot and vehicle pursuits, crafting strategic surveillance setups, gathering audio-visual evidence, producing detailed reports, and maintaining constant communication with team leaders. This dynamic, fast-paced role fits individuals with an adventurous spirit who embrace challenges and have a passion for uncovering the truth. Team-building events foster camaraderie, and the company encourages career growth through an Investigator Promotion Track. This position can serve as a stepping stone to careers in law enforcement, federal agencies such as the FBI or ATF, legal and paralegal professions, corporate security, or investigative journalism, highlighting the broad range of career pathways available from this role.
