Job Description

DigiStream Investigations is a rapidly expanding, national private investigation firm with a strong presence and specialized services in the Greater Seattle-Tacoma region. The company focuses on providing thorough and precise investigative services primarily related to potentially fraudulent Worker's Compensation and Liability claims. As a trusted player in the private investigations sector, DigiStream has built a reputation for professionalism and reliable evidence collection that helps clients defend their cases effectively. With a career path that extends beyond traditional desk jobs, DigiStream offers opportunities that combine autonomy, travel, and purpose for individuals eager to work in a dynamic and engaging field. The firm supports their investigative team with state-of-the-art equipment and vehicles, accompanied by comprehensive training developed over 25 years, ensuring every investigator is well-prepared for the unique challenges of the job.

This position as a Private Investigator is a full-time role requiring 40 to 55 hours of work weekly, averaging 10 to 11 hours a day, depending on travel to client locations and case assignments. Importantly, commute time in the company vehicle is paid, making travel time on the clock and contributing to an annual salary in the $55,000 to $65,000 range, reflecting hourly pay of $21 at the entry level plus frequent overtime. Investigators will operate in diverse environments, conducting covert surveillance, tracking subjects on foot or in vehicles, and employing strategic planning to capture critical evidence. Each day brings new scenarios, from routine grocery store observations to more complex assignments involving sports events or remote locations.

Beyond the day-to-day investigative duties, DigiStream offers a robust career growth path through their Investigator Promotion Track, enabling motivated individuals to progress within the company. The employment package includes full health benefits—health, dental, vision, and life insurance—along with a 401(k) retirement plan featuring a 4% company match. Employees benefit from company-provided late-model surveillance vehicles, fuel, equipment including cameras and laptops, and paid travel for local and remote assignments. The role also features perks such as quarterly team-building events and a professional, hands-on training program geared toward fostering skills applicable to related fields such as law enforcement, security, legal assistance, and investigative journalism.

Candidates must reside in Washington State and demonstrate flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, with shifts starting as early as 5:00 AM and sometimes extending into the evening. The ideal investigator has confident driving skills, a clean DMV record, and the ability to pass background checks. While no private investigator license is required, the role demands a willingness to travel, sometimes overnight, and a commitment to monitoring subjects discreetly while maintaining communication with team leaders. For those seeking a career with variety, challenge, and meaningful contribution, DigiStream Investigations provides an exciting and supportive environment with strong benefits and clear advancement opportunities.
