Operationally, the Shift Leader maintains equilibrium between delivering excellent employee and guest experiences while meeting financial goals. They utilize shift tools and routines to uphold Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) standards, oversee inventory management including waste tracking and HACCP logs, and review financial documentation such as invoices and inter-store transfers. By checking staffing charts and production plans, they make necessary adjustments to optimize labor and resources.

Job Duties

  • Coach, train and develop team members around processes and procedures at each station including limited-time offers
  • Actively participate in team huddles offering great ideas
  • Consistently thank the team and celebrate success
  • Serve as a role model and coach brand service behaviors
  • Fix bottlenecks, call chicken drops and monitor speed of service
  • Ensure the restaurant is welcoming and clean
  • Spend time with guests in the dining room doing table touches throughout the shift
  • Support the team to resolve guest concerns quickly
  • Ensure product quality and all standards are met on their shift
  • Provide ideas to the restaurant general manager to improve guest metrics and feedback
  • Lead each shift by delegating duties, assigning tasks, and following up with all team members
  • Be proficient in each area of the restaurant to assist when necessary
  • Use shift tools and routines to ensure Quality, Service and Cleanliness standards are met
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory, waste tracking and HACCP logs
  • Review and approve invoices and inter-store transfers
  • Check people charts and production planning and make necessary adjustments
  • Follow through with action plans for employee engagement, voice of the guest and operational assessments during the shift
