The role of Public Media Canvasser is a vital part of this mission. Donor Development Strategies (DDS) and Nebraska Public Media are seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about public media and community involvement to join their team. As a Canvasser, you will be directly responsible for connecting with the community to build support for Nebraska Public Media. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills as you engage with people, share the importance of public media, and encourage community members to become donors. Your efforts will contribute to sustaining and expanding the reach of Nebraska Public Media’s programming.

The position is structured to accommodate individuals who enjoy working outdoors and engaging with diverse groups. No prior experience is necessary, as comprehensive paid training is provided, enabling you to confidently perform your duties. The work schedule runs from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, providing a consistent routine. Compensation includes a base pay of $19 per hour along with the potential for weekly bonuses for full-time employees. Additionally, the role offers a range of benefits such as paid time off, subsidized healthcare including vision and dental care, a 401(k) plan with automatic employer contribution, and reimbursement for driving expenses at the IRS mileage rate.
