Job Description
Cedar Crossing Casino & Entertainment Center is a pioneering destination located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, that merges gaming, hospitality, culinary arts, live entertainment, cultural experiences, and STEM innovation into one seamless environment. This property represents a bold reimagination of the future of gaming, specifically designed not on what has been done in the past, but on visionary concepts built for the next twenty years. More than just a casino, Cedar Crossing offers an integrated experience where guests can discover new and exciting moments every time they visit. With a strong commitment to the brand belief of Discovery, Cedar Crossing invites guests to explore, connect, celebrate, learn, and, of course, enjoy the thrill of winning while surrounded by vibrant arts, culture, and entertainment offerings.
At Cedar Crossing, the entertainment experience is crafted to be much more than just stage performances. The team believes that memorable entertainment encompasses every interaction throughout the guest’s visit—starting the moment guests arrive and lasting until they leave. As an Entertainment Manager, you will be a vital leader in creating this immersive environment by overseeing operations at multiple entertainment venues within the property, including the Compass Center, Stage 180, EPICENTER, and Box Office. You will work closely with the Entertainment Buyer to coordinate everything from artist engagement and hospitality to technical production and event logistics, ensuring flawless execution of concerts, shows, and special events.
This role demands a creative, detail-oriented, and dynamic leader who understands the critical balance between operational excellence and crafting an inviting guest atmosphere. By managing teams such as ushers, stagehands, AV technicians, and box office staff, you will foster an environment of support, motivation, and high performance. Your leadership will be crucial in building strong vendor relationships, executing budgets, maintaining regulatory compliance, and continuously seeking ways to elevate the entertainment offerings and guest satisfaction.
With a focus on enhancing the guest experience beyond just live acts, you will also be responsible for curating the overall property atmosphere through strategic use of music, digital signage, and visual elements. Your initiatives will play a key role in reinforcing the Cedar Crossing Discovery brand, making every visit a unique and exciting journey for guests.
This full-time role requires a proven background in entertainment or venue management, excellent organizational skills, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The Entertainment Manager will be a key contributor to the property’s success and reputation as a premier entertainment destination in the Midwest, driving memorable experiences and repeat visitation.
