Job Description

Northern Quest Resort & Casino is a premier entertainment and hospitality destination located in Spokane, Washington. Owned and operated by the Kalispel Tribe of Indians, the resort offers a blend of luxury accommodations, gaming, dining, and live entertainment. With its state-of-the-art venue and commitment to superior guest experiences, Northern Quest is a vibrant hub for concerts, shows, and special events that attract both local patrons and visitors from around the region. The resort prides itself on delivering exceptional service and memorable experiences through its diverse entertainment offerings and dedicated team members.

The role of the Entertainment Event Supervisor at Northern Quest Resort & Casino is a dynamic and essential position designed to support the planning, coordination, and seamless execution of entertainment events. As an on-call, event-driven role, this position primarily operates during scheduled event days, with additional hours needed for preparation and follow-up activities. The Entertainment Event Supervisor works closely with Entertainment Managers and various internal departments to ensure that every aspect of event operations—from artist coordination to venue readiness—is managed effectively and executed with excellence. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and flexibility to functioning during evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by event schedules.

The Entertainment Event Supervisor acts as a key liaison between artists, tour personnel, production teams, and internal stakeholders, ensuring that technical requirements, hospitality needs, accommodations, transportation, security measures, catering, and backstage logistics are all aligned with contractual agreements. This position also involves on-site management on show days, overseeing event operations to promote timely delivery and effective communication across all teams involved. The supervisor supports post-event activities such as settlement coordination and financial processing related to artist deposits and payments.

In addition to operational duties, the Entertainment Event Supervisor is responsible for managing and leading backstage runners and event support staff, providing training and enforcing departmental standards. The role demands strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality, especially when interacting with artists, VIPs, and high-profile guests.

Candidates for this position are expected to have a minimum of five years of experience in live event production, entertainment operations, hospitality, or a closely related field, along with an associate degree in a related discipline, with a preference for candidates holding a bachelor’s degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to interpret contracts, riders, and operational documents are essential. The physical demands of the role include frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 75 pounds, and navigating varied event environments indoors and outdoors, often under changing weather conditions.

Northern Quest Resort & Casino offers a challenging yet rewarding environment for professionals passionate about live entertainment and event management. The Entertainment Event Supervisor position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that every event is delivered with professionalism, efficiency, and exceptional attention to detail, contributing directly to the overall guest experience and the resort’s reputation as a top entertainment destination.
