Baytown itself is a coastal city renowned for its rich Texas history and proximity to notable attractions such as downtown Houston, Galveston, the Kemah Boardwalk, and the NASA Space Center. The Hyatt Regency Baytown is the first waterfront hotel in the area and features 208 guest rooms, a market, a three-meal restaurant with an exposition kitchen, and a lobby bar overlooking the Houston ship channel. Recreational amenities include an outdoor pool and fitness center. The hotel offers 18,000 square feet of meeting space including a large ballroom with 20-foot high ceilings and additional event spaces, making it ideal for various business and leisure events.
The role of Engineering Supervisor at Hyatt Regency Baytown is a critical one that requires strong technical skills and leadership abilities. The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing shift coverage and ensuring all maintenance operations across guest rooms, meeting areas, front-of-house spaces, and back-of-house facilities such as the kitchen and laundry are efficiently conducted. This position demands expertise in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems as well as competency in using Windows-based computer systems for operational management. The ability to read blueprints and schematics is essential for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks. The Engineering Supervisor supports Hyatt's commitment to delivering exemplary guest experiences by maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment.
Hyatt places great importance on the performance and well-being of its associates, offering an environment that fosters career growth, job enrichment, and supportive teamwork. Working at Hyatt Regency Baytown comes with tremendous rewards including career advancement opportunities and comprehensive benefits. Associates at Hyatt enjoy free room nights, discounted rates for friends and family, and a generous paid time off package to encourage work-life balance. Medical, dental, and vision insurance benefits are available with just a 30-day waiting period, complemented by a 401K retirement plan with company matching contributions for financial security. Additional perks include free parking, paid family bonding time, adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement, an employee stock purchase plan, and retail discounts with leading brands such as Apple, AT&T, Verizon, and Headspace.
This role requires a highly motivated individual who is willing to take on various shifts based on business needs, handle emergency situations with professionalism, and contribute to a positive team environment through leadership, training, and performance management. Hyatt’s core values encompass empathy, wellbeing, respect, integrity, experimentation, and inclusion, reflecting our culture of caring and continuous improvement. Joining Hyatt Regency Baytown as an Engineering Supervisor means becoming part of a premier hospitality brand dedicated to excellence and meaningful guest experiences while enjoying a supportive workplace culture and extensive benefits.
