The company culture is rooted in respect, kindness, and a shared commitment to excellence. This commitment extends beyond guest experiences to include the well-being and development of its employees, offering a supportive environment that encourages growth and learning.
At the heart of Four Seasons is a belief that life is richer when we connect authentically with people and the world around us. Whether you are a guest, resident, or team member, Four Seasons strives to create lasting impressions through personalized service and thoughtful attention to detail. This ethos is clearly reflected in their properties around the world, including their prominent location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The Fort Lauderdale property of Four Seasons captures sophisticated style and vibrant energy in one of the world’s top yachting destinations. With a prime beachfront location, this hotel offers guests a modern take on the classic yacht club lifestyle, blending luxury with the lively atmosphere of a coastal city. Close to premier shopping, dining, marinas, and entertainment, Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale embodies a seamless blend of relaxation and upscale excitement, making it a prime destination for discerning travelers.
About the role:
The Engineering Supervisor position at Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale is a key leadership role within the hotel’s engineering department. This full-time, salaried position demands a highly skilled professional who can oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the engineering team, ensuring that all maintenance and repair work meets the high standards expected by the brand. The Supervisor will be responsible for scheduling, training, and supervising staff while also managing energy conservation and recycling programs to promote sustainability throughout the property.
This role requires diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of hotel equipment and systems including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire and safety systems, HVAC refrigeration, interior maintenance, painting, and decorating. The Engineering Supervisor is expected to maintain a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, updating logs and coordinating efforts to prevent downtime and extend the lifespan of the hotel's infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include managing both in-house maintenance personnel and outside contractors, responding promptly to guest maintenance requests, and handling emergency situations such as fires or power outages. The position also involves routine cleaning and organization of engineering workstations and the hotel environment to maintain a professional and efficient workspace.
Successful candidates will bring at least three years of professional repair and maintenance experience, preferably within a luxury resort or hotel setting, along with supervisory skills. Strong knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines is essential, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems. The ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues is crucial.
In return, Four Seasons offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, along with opportunities for training and career development. Employees enjoy complimentary accommodations at other Four Seasons hotels and resorts globally, dry cleaning services for uniforms, and meals during shifts. This role demands flexibility for diverse working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale is an Equal Opportunity employer, welcoming applications from minorities, women, veterans, and individuals with disabilities, and requiring US work authorization for employment.
