Situated within the LECOM HARBORCENTER complex, the hotel offers guests unparalleled access to some of Buffalo's most popular attractions, including the KeyBank Center, Canalside, and the city nightlife. This upscale hotel features intuitively designed rooms and suites that showcase local artwork, platform beds, spa-inspired bathrooms, and stunning views of the city. Guests also enjoy the culinary delights at Panorama on Seven, the hotel's signature restaurant known for its seasonal American cuisine, waterfront views, and handcrafted cocktails. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Engineering Supervisor to join our team at the Buffalo Marriott. This full-time role offers an hourly wage of $25 and requires the successful candidate to be present in person. The Engineering Supervisor will be charged with overseeing all aspects of the engineering department to ensure the proper operation, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of all heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and mechanical equipment in the hotel. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for both guests and team members.

The Engineering Supervisor is expected to develop, coordinate, and monitor a comprehensive maintenance program that upholds the highest standards of the hotel, Shaner Hotels, and the Marriott brand. This includes training and leading the engineering and security associates, ensuring that all daily operational procedures are followed, and maintaining facility and grounds quality in accordance with franchise and company specifications. A key part of this role involves the creation and management of inspection and preventive maintenance schedules covering all building systems, equipment, and guest rooms, complete with proper documentation of all work performed.

Beyond technical responsibilities, the Engineering Supervisor will exercise strong leadership by carrying out supervisory duties in line with organizational policies and relevant laws. This encompasses planning, assigning, and directing tasks; appraising employee performance; handling rewards and disciplinary actions; and resolving workplace issues. Effective communication with the Chief Engineer, General Manager, other department managers, and engineering staff is essential to ensuring smooth operations.

The ideal candidate must be ready to anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and professionally at all times, and assist with weekly scheduling and departmental meetings under the Chief Engineer’s guidance. Flexibility is vital, as this role requires working varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and other times necessary to meet operational demands.
