SPIRE Hospitality is the managing company behind this distinguished hotel, recognized for its dedication to creating memorable guest experiences and providing best-in-class service across its hotels and resorts nationwide. SPIRE Hospitality is committed to supporting its employees by offering the necessary tools, guidance, and opportunities to succeed and advance in their hospitality careers. The company culture emphasizes teamwork, personal growth, and excellence in service delivery, fostering an environment where employees are valued and career development is prioritized.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Engineering Supervisor to join our team. This full-time position plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational functionality of the hotel by overseeing all aspects of building repair, service, and preventative maintenance. The Engineering Supervisor will lead the engineering department, ensuring that all equipment — from guest room systems to kitchen and pool facilities — are serviced and maintained to the highest standards. The role also involves actively assisting guests with technical issues, handling room calls, and troubleshooting concerns to enhance guest satisfaction.
Compensation ranges from $33 to $35 per hour depending on experience. The role is primarily based on PM shifts and requires a flexible schedule including the possibility of working days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Safety compliance is a key aspect of the position, with adherence to PPE usage and all city, state, and OSHA regulations being mandatory. The supervisor will foster a collaborative team atmosphere not only within the engineering department but also with other departments such as Front Office, Security, Sales, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage.
The physical demands involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and rotating weights of 50 lbs or more, as well as standing and walking for up to 8 hours a day. This role requires a strong background in hotel maintenance, engineering systems, HVAC, plumbing, construction, and machinery, paired with solid computer skills for managing maintenance programs and documentation through Microsoft Office Suite. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, alongside previous hotel or customer service experience. This position offers a comprehensive full-time benefits package that includes earned wage access, medical, dental, vision, pet discount programs, identity theft protection, pre-paid legal support, flexible spending accounts, matched 401K, life insurance, critical accident coverage, short- and long-term disability, paid time off, wellness programs, and attractive hotel discounts. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to diversity and inclusion, encouraging veterans and individuals with disabilities to apply.
