The Engineering Project Manager role at Novolex is a critical position designed for self-starters ready to face complex operational challenges while steering projects that impact multiple manufacturing and warehousing facilities. This role focuses on managing engineering projects that enhance material handling and mobile equipment efficiency with an emphasis on cost-saving and sustainability. You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with national OEMs, local manufacturing sites, support vendors and multidisciplinary stakeholders across distribution and manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities include full-cycle project management from initial planning through post-project review while developing network-wide strategies to minimize equipment ownership costs and optimize energy use. Preferred locations for this position are Greater Chicago, IL; Greater Atlanta, GA; and Greater Dallas, TX, with an openness to candidates near major airports due to up to 50% travel expectations.

The position places a strong emphasis on mobile and material handling equipment such as forklifts, batteries, and emerging technologies like telemetry and electric power conversions. The candidate will be responsible for innovating replacement strategies, staying abreast of battery and energy efficiency trends, and leading green energy and sustainability programs. This role demands high analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively across operations, procurement, engineering, and IT teams.
