Job Description

Leidos Defense Sector is a leading provider of innovative and cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions catering to government and commercial clients across the defense, space, cyber, and commercial industries. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, Leidos operates with a workforce of approximately 47,000 employees worldwide and reported annual revenues of around 16.7 billion dollars for the fiscal year ending January 2025. Known for its commitment to mission-driven innovation, Leidos continuously pushes boundaries and challenges the status quo to deliver smarter, more efficient digital and mission solutions.

This specific opportunity is based in Huntsville, Alabama, a hub for advanced defense and aerospace technology development. The company seeks an experienced Engineering Program Resource Manager to join their multidisciplinary team tasked with addressing complex engineering challenges for the Indirect Fire Protection Capability Increment 2 (IFPC Inc 2) program. The role demands a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic learning environment fostering continuous leadership and technical growth.

The Engineering Program Resource Manager will play a critical role in planning, organizing, and managing resources to ensure the successful completion of IFPC program objectives within technical scope, schedule, and budget constraints. This position involves close collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, including task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel. The candidate will support the Program Manager and Chief Engineer by effectively aligning scope, schedule, budget, and resources across multiple phases of the IFPC portfolio. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills to manage the complexities of defense acquisition programs and foster teamwork among multidisciplinary teams.

Leidos offers a competitive salary range for this position between $131,300 and $237,350 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and job responsibilities. Beyond compensation, Leidos emphasizes comprehensive employment benefits encompassing health and wellness programs, income protection, paid leave, and retirement savings plans. The company maintains a steadfast commitment to diversity and inclusion, ensuring all qualified applicants receive consideration regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected statuses.

For candidates, especially those residing in North Alabama or willing to relocate to the Huntsville area, this role represents a unique opportunity to contribute to vital national defense initiatives while growing professionally within a supportive and forward-thinking organization. Leidos prioritizes integrity and transparency throughout the recruitment process, cautioning applicants against fraudulent job opportunities and reinforcing secure communication channels.
