The current opportunity is for an Engineering Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley, a pivotal role that supports the operational excellence of the property’s facilities. Reporting to senior management, the Engineering Manager leads a dedicated team of engineering and maintenance professionals responsible for servicing all operational aspects of the building and grounds. This includes but is not limited to plumbing, refrigeration, heating and cooling systems, painting, carpentry, structural maintenance, electrical work, ground care, and parking areas.
In addition to routine maintenance, the Engineering Manager plays a key role in ensuring the safety and comfort of guests and employees by overseeing life and fire safety systems, managing energy and sustainability initiatives, and administering comprehensive facility management programs. The role requires balancing preventive maintenance with swift problem-solving to reduce downtime and maintain the property in pristine working condition. They also lead property-related projects, ensuring that renovations, upgrades, and new initiatives are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget while adhering to the high standards synonymous with the Four Seasons brand.
This position offers the chance to work within a collaborative global team while contributing directly to one of the most prestigious hospitality properties in the San Francisco Bay Area. Job Requirements
- minimum education of a professional or trade degree in engineering or equivalent
- at least five years of relevant technical experience
- proven leadership and project management skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- knowledge of life and fire safety systems
- certified or formally trained in facilities management or engineering operations
- strong communication and organizational skills
