The role of Engineering Manager at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is a critical position entrusted with overseeing all mechanical and structural elements of the property. This full-time position offers a salary range of $50,000 to $60,000 and entails significant responsibility for the preventative maintenance and repair of the building's equipment and systems. As Engineering Manager, you will lead the maintenance of the entire property, including 248 guest rooms, fixtures, refrigeration systems, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure. Working closely with the Director of Engineering, you will ensure the hotel adheres to all local, state, and federal laws governing property maintenance and safety. Additionally, you will cultivate and maintain professional relationships with vendors, on-site partners, food and beverage departments, and residential counterparts to guarantee that all property needs are met promptly and efficiently.

The Engineering Manager plays an essential role in ensuring the hotel's preventative maintenance programs are optimally planned and executed to uphold the integrity and safety of the property. Responsibilities involve monitoring security and life safety systems, conducting room inspections to identify repair needs, and managing the engineering shop to keep equipment and workspaces safe and orderly. Supply management and ensuring technicians have the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively are also key aspects of the role. Job Duties

  • Lead maintenance of the building, rooms, fixtures, all property equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems
  • Assists in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds in good working order
  • With the Director of Engineering, ensures the hotel follows all local, state and federal laws
  • Responsible for maintaining professional relationships with all vendors, on-site partners, F&B, and residential counterparts to ensure that property needs are being met
  • Ensures the shop is kept in good order, i.e. all equipment and work space in safe and clean condition
  • Monitor the hotel's preventative maintenance program and assist in optimally planning, scheduling and evaluating preventative maintenance programs
  • Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs
  • Ensures all employees have the proper supplies and equipment
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction in line with Kimpton's standards
  • Performs any other job related duties as assigned
