Job Description
PAH Management is a Dallas-based hotel ownership and management company specializing in the operation of select-service properties across multiple states under renowned Marriott and Hilton brands. With a strong commitment to cultivating a culture that prioritizes associate wellbeing, PAH Management strives to be America's preferred hotel management company. The company balances operational excellence with a focus on guest service, creating memorable experiences for guests while fostering an engaging work environment for its employees. This position is located in Charlotte, NC, at one of PAH's managed properties and is integral to maintaining the high standards and smooth functioning that guests and team members expect.
The role of Engineer at PAH Management is a critical, hands-on technical position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel’s Engineering Department. This includes managing electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems. The Engineer is a pivotal member of the team who ensures that the hotel property remains safe, compliant with regulations, and operating efficiently behind the scenes. This position goes beyond routine maintenance; it involves proactive problem-solving, clear communication with guests and team members, and the ability to make informed independent decisions, especially under pressure. Engineers assist with preventive maintenance, conduct site inspections, and respond promptly to any equipment malfunctions reported by guests. They also manage the hotel’s electronic lock system and ensure compliance with safety and building codes at all times.
This position offers a competitive base salary, commensurate with experience. As part of the comprehensive employment package, PAH Management provides a rich array of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance options, and employee incentive programs. Additional perks include hotel stay benefits under Marriott and Hilton programs, paid time off, educational reimbursement, and opportunities for career development through initiatives like the Manager in Training Program where applicable. The physical demands are commensurate with the role, and Engineers should be comfortable with occasional heavy lifting and flexible scheduling that often includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Overall, the Engineer role at PAH Management provides the opportunity to work within a dynamic hotel management company with a strong reputation and superior culture. This position is ideal for a technically skilled individual with broad knowledge in maintenance trades who thrives in a team environment and is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of guest service and property maintenance.
