Job Description
The hiring company is a technology-driven organization specializing in the development and maintenance of advanced manufacturing automation and control systems within the pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic industries. Known for its commitment to quality, compliance, and operational excellence, the company operates in highly regulated environments, including Class VIII Cleanrooms and high-speed fully automated production lines. The company fosters innovation and continuous improvement, investing in cutting-edge technologies and skilled professionals to ensure safety, efficiency, and superior customer service across its manufacturing operations.
This position offers a full-time employment opportunity with a competitive salary, focused on providing technical leadership in the evaluation and implementation of automation and control improvements. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing manufacturing efficiency, product quality, compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction by reviewing and upgrading existing process controls. \n\nThe role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including maintenance and engineering, to troubleshoot and support production processes. The candidate will also contribute technical expertise to various large-scale projects encompassing automation design, execution, and validation. Key responsibilities include serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for equipment and control systems, leading troubleshooting efforts, conducting independent analyses to identify improvement opportunities, and creating or updating critical technical documentation such as P&IDs, wiring schematics, and I/O drawings.\n\nAdditionally, the role commands proficiency in designing and programming control systems involving AC/DC drives, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, Vision Systems, and Robot Controllers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of best practices and an intermediate grasp of engineering disciplines, helping develop long-range replacement strategies and continuous improvement plans. The position demands a self-directed professional who can make significant technical decisions independently while maintaining cGMP compliance and occasionally supervising project-specific teams. Furthermore, effective communication skills are essential, as the role involves interfacing with managers, peers, and customers to resolve conflicts collaboratively and foster teamwork. This comprehensive job is well-suited for an experienced controls or automation engineer with a solid technical background and a passion for driving manufacturing innovation in regulated industries.
