The role plays a crucial part in production supervision and operational management of assembly processes within ZFFCN’s manufacturing facilities. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of assembly concepts that align with ZF Chassis Module Systems standards, including work plans, investment plans, assembly line layouts, and project timing. This role involves actively supporting acquisition projects for production areas, preparing requests for quotation (RFQs) for equipment suppliers, and managing the integration of new production technologies and machinery. You will have a direct impact on product quality and operational efficiency by preparing and maintaining process failure mode effects analyses (PFMEAs), value streams, and standard work instructions. Additionally, you will serve as a key liaison with customers, interpreting their requirements and helping develop innovative manufacturing solutions. The role involves careful analysis and planning of workforce utilization, space management, workflow optimization, and equipment layout design to maximize efficiency. This position requires a proactive approach to determining product specifications for purchasing equipment, materials, or parts in accordance with quality standards and operational needs.
