The Senior Engineer role at Constellation offers a comprehensive and challenging opportunity within their Clean Energy Center (CEC). This position requires advanced technical and engineering problem-solving skills as it supports the operational excellence of the CEC. The Senior Engineer is entrusted with making critical technical decisions and is expected to possess strong knowledge across their functional discipline with practical applications. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience
- Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Design Engineering Qualifications (DG01, DG03)
- Qualified Nuclear Engineer (QNE) qualification or SRO certification desired
Job Duties
- Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
- Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
- Provide complete task management of engineering issues
- Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles
- Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications
- Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs
- Recommend new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify operations, reduce costs or comply with changes in codes or regulations
- Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department
