CPS Energy is currently looking for talented and driven Engineers to join their dynamic team. The Engineer position is critical in maintaining the safe, reliable, and economic around-the-clock operation of the company’s generation, electric transmission, and distribution systems. Engineers at CPS Energy are entrusted with key responsibilities that include design, construction, maintenance, and operation of complex power plants, transmission lines, substations, distribution systems, gas systems, and control centers. This role goes beyond routine engineering tasks and involves continuous monitoring and balancing of energy flow and responding effectively to system disturbances.

This position also offers a unique opportunity to work in cross-functional planning and system strategy initiatives within a fast-paced and evolving environment. Engineers partner with various internal departments including generation, transmission, distribution, gas, forecasting, finance, regulatory, and operations to evaluate complex technical data, support long-range infrastructure plans, and develop practical data-driven recommendations aimed at improving overall system reliability, cost-efficiency, and operational readiness. Success in this position requires a proactive approach to working through ambiguity, building processes, and shaping new or evolving engineering programs from the ground up.

This role is classified under Pay Grade 16, with qualifications possibly affecting placement within different job levels.
