Job Description
MCR is the third-largest hotel owner-operator in the United States, known for its extensive and diverse portfolio of premium-branded hotels. Founded in 2006, MCR has established itself as a leader in the hospitality industry with offices in New York City, Dallas, Chicago, and Richmond, Virginia. The company manages a $5.0 billion portfolio comprising 148 hotels with more than 22,000 guestrooms across 37 states and 106 cities. MCR operates under 9 Marriott brands, 8 Hilton brands, as well as several unflagged independent hotels. With over 7,000 team members nationwide, MCR is dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, friendliness, and safety in its hotels.
This role is based at the Tulsa Bixby OK Hampton and involves delivering the MCR Universal Role Standards, focusing on cleanliness, friendly service, well-organized operations, and safety for guests and staff. The position primarily centers on achieving excellence in four key areas: happy guests, spotless cleanliness, product consistency and quality, and teamwork. Success in this role requires a commitment to guest satisfaction, thorough knowledge of the hotel’s facilities and amenities, and proactive involvement in maintenance and housekeeping efforts.
The technician role, typically filled by an engineer or maintenance professional, includes responsibilities such as responding promptly to repair requests from guests, ensuring preventative maintenance tasks are current and according to schedule, and adhering to established safety and health codes, including pool and spa maintenance standards. Employees conduct full property inspections at the beginning and end of their shifts, maintaining documented records of maintenance needs and ensuring these are addressed promptly. Keeping maintenance areas organized and clean is essential, as is fostering effective communication and a collaborative spirit among team members.
MCR values a can-do attitude, the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively, and strong interpersonal skills essential for listening, conflict resolution, and communication. The role demands physical agility, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds. Employees must be able to perform all functions safely and comply with the hotel’s policies around scheduling, clocking in and out, and attendance.
As a highly respected company in the hospitality industry, MCR has been recognized as one of Fast Company's 10 Most Innovative Travel Companies of 2020. It is the three-time recipient of the Marriott Partnership Circle Award and a recipient of Hilton’s Legacy Award for Top Performer. Additionally, the company’s commitment to excellence is highlighted by multiple prestigious development and architecture awards for projects like the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport.
This job offers an excellent opportunity for candidates who seek to work in a dynamic, guest-focused environment within a nationally recognized company with a culture that promotes career growth and advancement. The employment type is full-time, with compensation based on the company's pay structure, which includes weekly pay and competitive benefits. Overall, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a company known for quality, innovation, and employee development.
