Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 3 years of event planning experience
- proven ability to coordinate vendors and manage budgets
- experience with sponsorship or fundraising programs
- strong communication and organizational skills
- ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
- comfortable managing multiple priorities under pressure
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of event planning experience in nonprofit or corporate settings
- strong project management and vendor coordination skills
- experience with sponsorship management or fundraising campaigns
- exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- ability to manage multiple projects and remain calm under pressure
- customer service and interpersonal skills
- sales or partnership development experience is a plus
- veteran status or experience supporting military communities is highly desirable
Job Duties
- develop and manage event plans, budgets, and timelines
- coordinate logistics including vendors, venues, catering, audiovisual, and transportation
- ensure compliance with local regulations such as permits and insurance
- oversee on-site event setup, live execution, and post-event teardown
- conduct post-event evaluations and reporting
- identify and target potential community partners and sponsors
- assist in developing sponsorship strategies and packages
- ensure fulfillment of sponsorship deliverables
- build and maintain strong sponsor relationships
- collaborate with marketing to integrate sponsor branding and activation
- track sponsorship metrics including engagement, exposure, and ROI
- work with communications teams to promote events across channels
- manage guest communications, invitations, and RSVPs
- support the design and deployment of branded materials and digital assets
- maintain accurate records of budgets, invoices, and contracts
- provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders
- create detailed post-event summaries with performance insights and lessons learned
- research and recommend nonprofit partners for community impact initiatives
- identify volunteer opportunities and represent the organization at community events, some evenings and weekends required
