The Division Chair of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism, and Nutrition position is an executive academic leadership role at a top-ranked academic medical center located in Rochester, MN. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity for senior endocrinologists with a passion for leadership, clinical oversight, research, and education to shape the strategic vision of the division. The Division Chair will be responsible for guiding the division’s growth, innovation, and national leadership by recruiting and retaining top-tier clinical and scientific talent, managing clinical quality, patient outcomes, and supporting a strong research program. The role includes oversight of an ACGME-accredited Endocrinology Fellowship program and involvement in training fellows, residents, and medical students, emphasizing curriculum innovation and academic excellence. With a robust infrastructure supporting clinical trials and translational research, the Division Chair will have a significant impact on advancing knowledge in diabetes, metabolic diseases, endocrine neoplasia, pituitary and adrenal disorders, thyroid disease, bone and mineral metabolism, reproductive endocrinology, and nutrition science.

The candidate will lead a division of approximately 40 endocrinologists and collaborate across multiple specialties including surgery, ophthalmology, transplant, oncology, and OB/GYN. Priority research areas include islet cell biology, immune protection and evasion, stem cell-derived therapies, and translational approaches to disease modification and cure. Compensation is competitive, with a base salary range from $208,000 to $708,168 depending on experience and leadership scope.
