Job Description
The hiring establishment is a caring nonprofit multispecialty medical group located in East Texas, specifically serving the Longview and Tyler, TX areas. This reputable group specializes in providing comprehensive healthcare with a strong focus on managing diabetes, serving over 13,000 diabetic patients in the region. As the only available endocrinology provider for this population in East Texas, the group has established itself as a critical healthcare resource for the community. The organization prides itself on a collaborative, supportive environment with a notable 94 percent retention rate, reflecting both employee satisfaction and a positive workplace culture. They offer healthcare professionals a stable and rewarding career path with robust earning potential and extensive support services, including concierge services, on-site amenities, and comprehensive benefits like malpractice coverage and retirement plans.
The role available is for a full-time Endocrinologist who will join a team of three physicians and two advanced practice providers (APPs) in a well-organized clinic that also includes Pulmonary and Rheumatology services. The position offers flexibility in clinical operations, allowing the endocrinologist to work either fully outpatient or with a mix of outpatient and inpatient care, depending on preference. The typical patient load is approximately 15 to 20 patients daily, operating Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, which supports a balanced professional life with minimal weekend demands. The group provides a large referral base within a preferred provider network locally employed, which significantly supports patient volume and professional development.
The compensation package is highly competitive, featuring a guaranteed base salary of $325,000 in the first year transitioning to an RVU-based compensation model thereafter, with year-end production bonuses, additional compensation for APP supervision, and full malpractice and tail coverage paid. Physicians also benefit from a retirement plan with employer match and wellness amenities like an on-site gym available for them and their families. This role offers a rare opportunity to practice in a growing healthcare market that maintains a high quality of life standard, a low cost of living, no state income tax, and affordable housing options. The Longview and surrounding East Texas areas provide a welcoming, family-oriented lifestyle with access to natural parks, lakes, and outdoor activities, making this an ideal setting for medical professionals seeking both career growth and an exceptional personal life.
