The role of the EMS Field Supervisor at First Response E.M.S. is both dynamic and critical in managing daily field operations while actively participating as a working EMS provider. The EMS Field Supervisor ensures compliance with company policies, national and state EMS standards, and Medical Control Authority requirements, playing a pivotal role in maintaining operational readiness and oversight. Supervisory duties include mentoring EMTs and Paramedics, evaluating performance, coordinating with dispatch and hospitals, and overseeing equipment maintenance and resource allocation.

The EMS Field Supervisor serves as a key liaison between field staff, management, and external emergency agencies, facilitating effective communication and response coordination. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, maintaining confidentiality, and high physical stamina to perform duties involving lifting, carrying, standing for extended periods, and operating complex EMS equipment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive EMS operational experience, preferably holding a current Michigan Paramedic license, although experienced EMTs with a strong background in leadership and field operations are also encouraged to apply.
