As a technology-driven company, Replit combines innovative software solutions with a deep commitment to community and user experience, creating a robust ecosystem where anyone can engage with coding and software creation regardless of their background or technical expertise.
Established as a tech startup with a mission to make programming more accessible globally, Replit fosters an environment of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity. The company has experienced substantial growth and impact, becoming a go-to platform for both novice and experienced developers. Their approach to product development and user engagement highlights their pioneering spirit and dedication to continuous improvement, which is reflected in the roles they offer within the company.
The Employee Experience Lead role at Replit is a unique and critical position aimed at curating an exceptional in-office experience that mirrors the vibrant and innovative culture of the company. Located in Foster City, CA, this full-time role is integral to maintaining the atmosphere that supports creativity, collaboration, and deep focus, making the office a place where employees genuinely want to be. The position comes with a competitive salary and equity, alongside comprehensive benefits which contribute to a fulfilling work environment.
This role demands an individual who approaches their work with the mindset of a host and the entrepreneurial drive of a founder. They will be responsible for the entire in-office experience, paying close attention to the atmosphere — from the moment someone walks through the door to the quality and variety of food, snacks, and beverages provided. At Replit, food and beverage offerings are seen not merely as amenities but as an integral part of how the company fosters connection and community among its employees.
The ideal candidate is someone who has extensive experience in startup environments and is comfortable building systems from the ground up while maintaining high standards for quality and detail. This hands-on role involves managing vendors, contracts, and relationships with local suppliers, chefs, and food providers to craft a diverse and exciting culinary program that is far from generic.
Beyond food and workplace atmosphere, the Employee Experience Lead will also spearhead internal events such as team lunches, product demos, launches, and offsites, ensuring these experiences are seamless, creative, and reflective of Replit’s brand. They will introduce new event formats and continuously elevate the cultural offerings that make the company’s workplace vibrant and engaging.
In this position, success is defined by creating a lively, welcoming, and well-designed office environment that naturally attracts employees to spend time together, collaborates, and feels aligned with the company’s fast-evolving nature. Smooth operations, a consistently excellent food program, and an ability to anticipate employee needs before they arise are key marks of a thriving workplace experience under this role.
Replit values diversity and inclusivity, encouraging applicants from all backgrounds, especially those who bring underrepresented or non-traditional perspectives. This is part of their mission to shape a more accessible programming world through a workforce that reflects the diversity of its users.
Overall, the Employee Experience Lead is a pivotal role at Replit that blends hospitality, creativity, operations, and community-building into a highly visible and impactful position. This role directly influences employee happiness, productivity, and company culture, supporting Replit's overarching vision of making programming easy, enjoyable, and universally accessible.
