The Dinner Server role at The Broadmoor is a vital position within the Emerald Valley team, focusing on delivering superior guest service in one of the resort's distinguished dining venues. At an hourly pay rate of $19.50, this position combines the art of fine dining with attentive service to ensure that every guest receives a memorable culinary experience. The Dinner Server is responsible for preparing the dining area, maintaining active communication with guests and kitchen staff, and serving a variety of food and beverages including expertly mixed cocktails. Additionally, this role requires knowledge of specific guest dietary restrictions and food allergies, as well as adherence to state liquor laws and The Broadmoor's rigorous standards.

The role extends beyond mere service; it involves embodying the essence of The Broadmoor brand, acting as an ambassador who upholds the resort’s high standards of hospitality. The Dinner Server will assist in bar duties, replenish and clean tables, and collaborate closely with all dining room and kitchen staff to assure smooth service flow. Candidates must have fine dining experience, familiarity with alcohol service and legal requirements, and comfortable use of Point of Sale systems. This position demands energy, enthusiasm, and excellent interpersonal communication skills to thrive in the fast-paced and detail-oriented environment of The Broadmoor. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fine dining experience
  • Knowledge of alcohol service and laws
  • Experience working with touch screen, point of sale systems
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Fine dining experience
  • Knowledge of alcohol service and laws
  • Experience working with touch screen, point of sale systems
  • Knowledge of AAA and Forbes dining standards preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others

Job Duties

  • Perform table set up, replenish and clean up before, during and/or after the guest’s meal and replenish snacks, and stock bar as necessary
  • Answer menu questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage service
  • Ability to act as bartender and mix ingredients to prepare beverages to guest satisfaction
  • Serve and is familiar with a variety of wines, beers and cocktails
  • Obtain and maintain knowledge of guest(s) diet restrictions and food allergies
  • Maintain accurate communication with kitchen staff regarding orders, times, guest needs, etc. in order to provide efficient service
  • Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
  • Buss and carry used tableware to kitchen area
  • Handle opening and closing procedures as directed and complete daily and weekly side-work
  • Follow RANCH safety and hygiene standards
  • Follow all directions received from General Manager
  • Report tips as required by the IRS
  • Abide by and maintain up to date knowledge of Colorado liquor laws
  • Assist other dining room staff and all other staff as needed
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned
