Job Description

Suite is a hotel located beside the Amarillo Civic Center in downtown Amarillo, offering two-room suites that combine comfort and convenience. Situated close to popular attractions like Cadillac Ranch and the Amarillo Botanical Gardens, the hotel provides guests with a premium experience complemented by amenities such as an indoor pool, dry sauna, fitness center, and spacious event areas that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. Guests enjoy complimentary services like a made-to-order breakfast and an evening reception, contributing to the hotel's commitment to top-tier hospitality. This position is for an Assistant General Manager, a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing daily hotel operations and ensuring an exceptional experience for every guest. Acting as the General Manager's right hand, the Assistant General Manager supervises multiple departments and collaborates closely with the General Manager to drive revenue and manage operational costs effectively. This role demands a dynamic individual who can confidently lead teams, resolve challenges proactively, and maintain clear communication both with guests and staff. The Assistant General Manager is also deeply involved in talent acquisition and staff development, playing a vital part in recruiting and training Guest Services personnel and providing continuous learning opportunities for employees at all levels. Proficiency with Windows operating systems and financial management is essential to support operational reporting and analysis. A strong sense of professionalism in appearance and grooming is expected to set the standard for the team. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of five years’ progressive hotel experience or equivalent education and related experience
  • Supervisory background required
  • Ability to remain calm and objective under pressure
  • Must hold or be able to obtain Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid certifications

Job Qualifications

  • At least five years of progressive hotel experience in Rooms or Food and Beverage
  • Supervisory experience in hotel management
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems
  • Ability to manage financial information
  • Experience in staff recruitment and training

Job Duties
