Job Description
Penske Logistics is a global leader in transportation, warehousing, and freight management solutions, renowned for delivering state-of-the-art services that enhance supply chain efficiency for market-leading companies across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. With a strong commitment to innovation and excellence, Penske Logistics plays a vital role in helping businesses move forward through increased visibility and reduced supply chain costs. The company is a significant player in the logistics industry, combining cutting-edge technology with a skilled workforce to provide reliable and cost-effective transportation services. Located at 2201 Cabot Blvd, Langhorne, Pennsylvania, Penske Logistics LLC offers numerous career opportunities for individuals seeking to build a rewarding career in the logistics and transportation sector. They emphasize safety, professional development, and customer service, making them an employer of choice for many truck drivers across the United States.
The Elite Truck Driver / Traveling Driver - Class A position at Penske Logistics is a unique opportunity designed specifically for experienced and reliable CDL Class A drivers who seek variety, flexibility, and the ability to make a meaningful impact in their work. This role is not typical; it involves being a part of an elite, high-performing driver team that supports critical operations nationally and regionally by traveling where they are needed most. Drivers will be deployed across various Penske locations throughout the country to help launch new business, stabilize operations during special projects, and support key strategic customers. Assignments typically last at least three weeks, with options to extend or continue traveling, providing significant flexibility based on the driver’s preferences and schedule.
As an Elite Driver, you represent not just Penske but some of the world's leading brands, often driving their branded trucks and wearing their uniforms. The role demands a high level of professionalism, adaptability, and dedication to safety. You will perform multi-stop deliveries in different environments, ranging from high-touch to no-touch job assignments, with comprehensive training provided for specialized equipment. You will use advanced onboard technology such as scanners and inward/outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safe, accurate deliveries and maintain Penske’s superior safety record.
Compensation for this role is highly competitive, with guaranteed pay starting at $2,350 per travel week, including a $350 per diem weekly allowance. Drivers are also compensated during their home week and have the option for one full week off every month. Additional benefits include paid vacation and holidays, medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans with company contributions, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and more. Drivers also receive company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, referral bonuses up to $5,000, safety recognition programs, and 24/7 driver and roadside assistance.
Joining Penske means becoming part of a nationwide team of professional drivers dedicated to safety, reliability, and exceptional customer service. The company fosters career growth through ongoing training opportunities, excellent equipment, and supportive management, ensuring drivers have the resources and environment to thrive. If you hold a current CDL-A license with at least two years of recent tractor-trailer experience, a clean driving record, and desire a dynamic driving role with flexibility and premium pay, the Elite Truck Driver role with Penske Logistics offers an unparalleled opportunity to advance your career while enjoying variety, strong compensation, and the satisfaction of meaningful work.
