Job Description
Penske Logistics is a global leader in providing innovative transportation, warehousing, and freight management solutions to some of the world's most respected market-leading companies. Operating across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, Penske Logistics leverages cutting-edge technology and deep industry expertise to enhance supply chain efficiency, increase operational visibility, and reduce costs for its clients. Known for its commitment to quality, safety, and customer service, Penske Logistics is a preferred partner for businesses seeking reliable logistics solutions worldwide.
The Elite Truck Driver / Traveling Driver – Class A position at Penske Logistics presents a unique and dynamic opportunity for experienced CDL-A drivers who thrive on variety, flexibility, and making a meaningful impact. Unlike traditional truck driving roles tied to a single route or customer, this role places you at the forefront of Penske’s national response team. As an Elite Driver, you'll be deployed to various Penske locations across the United States to support critical operations, launch new business, stabilize customer accounts, and cover high-priority assignments where skilled driving expertise is essential.
This role offers outstanding earning potential with compensation starting at $2,350+ per travel week, including a $350 per diem and pay during home weeks. Assignments last at least three weeks, with options to extend for continued travel based on your preferences. This flexibility allows you to balance work and life while maintaining a strong, consistent income. Penske also offers premium benefits such as paid vacation and holidays, medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans with company contributions, short- and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, and various safety recognition programs.
In this role, you will represent Penske’s commitment to excellence by operating well-maintained vehicles equipped with industry-leading safety features, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. You will perform regional and national freight deliveries, including multi-stop routes in diverse settings, and use advanced technology such as scanners to ensure accurate and timely delivery. Training is provided for specialized equipment, allowing you to handle a range of job assignments from high-touch deliveries requiring personal interaction to no-touch automated freight.
Being part of the Elite Driver team means you are more than a driver; you are a key player in ensuring Penske’s operational success across the country. The job demands a high level of responsibility, adaptability, and professionalism, with assignments varying by location and business need. Penske supports your success with 24/7 driver and roadside assistance, ongoing training opportunities, and the ability to relocate to different cities thanks to their nationwide network.
If you are an experienced, dependable CDL Class A driver looking for the chance to elevate your career by joining a top-tier logistics company, Penske’s Elite Driver role offers unmatched variety, competitive pay, flexibility, and professional growth in a supportive work environment. Ready to take your driving career to the next level? Come drive for Penske and join a company that values your expertise, safety, and dedication.
